Since the medical marijuana conference organized in January by the Ministry of Health, with assistance from Boaz Wachtel and Ale Yarok, the Ministry has been granting far more medical marijuana permits and efforts to establish a legal distribution system are underway. The event sponsored by the Ministry of Health was held at the Abarbanel Mental Health Center, on Thursday 17/01/2007.
The convention dealt with the all topics related to Cannabis and its medical implications and opportunities. Participating were experts from Israel and Europe. Some media attention was given to the event, in the daily press, the television and the major Israeli news websites.

Against the continued attacks on the Attorney General, State Comptroller and government clerks, who are uncovering the unbelievable extent of government corruption, The Green Leaf Party would like to express unequivocal support of their actions in restraining those at the helm of power. In addition, the party would like to express its bewilderment over the words of Prof. Amnon Rubinstein, in the last few months, and would like to remind the public that there are those, who see Rubinstein as a worthy candidate for the Presidency, so that his motives should be questioned, as it is the members of parliament, who choose the President.

Cannabis is a common denominator between diverse cultures and nations. Israel’s residents are the prime example of people in conflict and Jerusalem is at the core of the problem and possibly also - the solution. The conference will bring together Arabs and Jews alike to delve the various issues related to the legalization of marijuana and industrial hemp.
